Compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, regulations, and procedures is a shared responsibility. Operational staff are supported continuously by their respective Central Units and Branches to ensure full adherence.

- Providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with local laws and international standards
- Ensuring that all plant components, equipment, and substances are used, maintained, and handled in ways that do not pose risks to people or the environment
- Training all employees in HSE standards, practices, and procedures, equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes
- Promoting awareness among employees of their responsibilities toward themselves, others, and the environment, and encouraging safe working practices at all times
- Requiring subcontractors to uphold similar HSE responsibilities, with selection and monitoring based on their performance in this area
- Disseminating detailed information through reports, analyses, and communications regarding accidents, incidents, and injuries, and fostering ongoing dialogue on HSE issues
- Implementing a company-wide system for evaluating and discussing HSE procedures through regular meetings between senior management and staff representatives
- Establishing feedback mechanisms to encourage employee participation in HSE matters
- Conducting regular audits, inspections, and surveys across all sites and activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards
- Evaluating all new activities, projects, acquisitions, and changes to ensure alignment with HSE requirements

Certifications and Continuous Improvement
Since October 2003, Expertise has been certified under the ISO 14001 standard, demonstrating our commitment to environmental protection through clean technologies, responsible waste management, and careful control of energy and resource consumption.
In May 2011, we obtained certification under the OHSAS 18001 standard (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Specification), which outlines the requirements for effective health and safety management systems. This certification enables us to minimize risks to individuals, ensure a safe working environment, and continuously improve our performance.
